Symptoms of being pregnant
For most individuals finding out that there is a baby on the way can be very exciting. Many couples will plan this event and they will try to conceive a child for several weeks, months, or even years. But, there is only one way to see if pregnancy has occurred and that means that the woman will need to wait until she is supposed to start her monthly cycle in order to see if she starts or not. This can be a very long wait for many people and that is why many women will try to find other symptoms of being pregnant that they can watch for to help them determine if they were successful.
Symptoms of being pregnant can vary from person to person but some of them are very common for most individuals that will soon be holding a baby boy or girl in their arms. One of the most common symptoms related to pregnancy is an overwhelming feeling of being tired. Many females that will be growing a baby within their uterus will report that they felt very tired very early on in their pregnancies. It is hard to believe that the baby will be taking that much out of the mother as soon as it has had an opportunity to implant within the uterus. But, just think about how much the woman’s body will change. It is easy to see why she would be tired.
As previously mentioned, one of the main symptoms of being pregnant is a missed menstrual cycle. This can be a very large indicator for the female that has a very regular period. When a lady with a regular menstrual cycle has been trying to become pregnant, and misses her period, it is a very large sign that pregnancy has occurred and she should take a home pregnancy test in order to find out for sure. Then, if it comes back positive she should contact her doctor in order to have other testing done to verify the results.
Many women will state that they started to notice some changes in their breasts. For many, this symptom revolves around the breasts being swollen and tender. Again, this can be a very large indicator if the woman does not generally have tender breasts. This coupled with an overwhelming feeling of being tired, and a missed menstrual cycle can excite a couple that has been trying to conceive for a long period of time.
Headaches can be one of those symptoms of being pregnant that is often overlooked. This could be related to the hormonal changes that the woman is experiencing. However, if she has been having a very stressful week, or she is suffering from the flu, or another illness, she might not realize that she is pregnant. But, if she begins to notice other symptoms as well such as the ones that have been discussed above, it would be best to take a home pregnancy test.
Morning sickness generally tops the list for a lot of woman who find out that they are pregnant. These ladies may have a hard time consuming their favorite foods or they might not be able to eat at all because they feel so nauseous. This can happen at any time of the day and it can become very troublesome for some individuals. Woman that find themselves suffering from this condition to the point that they are not eating should consult their doctor to discuss different medications that can be given.
What is very important to realize is that not all women will experience the above symptoms of being pregnant. For these women, they might not realize that they are pregnant in the first place or they may be worried that there is something wrong with themselves or the baby. When the symptoms of being pregnant are not experienced it does not mean that there is a problem. Therefore, the woman should be happy that she is able to relax for a few more weeks before the baby starts to grow within her because as the baby grows she may begin to become uncomfortable. Keep in mind that nine months is a long time. A few weeks of feeling good would be completely welcomed by the end of it.
